Gatha

Ted and Cora are my parents and they didn't have the blessing of knowing any of their grandchildren. It has been a difficult thing to talk about them, because it has been so painful. I wrote a small book about them to tell their grandchildren. That was probably somewhat helpful for some understanding about them, but there is so much more. I hope this will help.

Several years ago Jeanette said she did not know how to be a mother. I turned to her and told her to remember what her mother did. That her mother was teaching her how to be a mother by example.

Well, I do not know how to be a grandfather as I have not had a grandfather to show me what one does.

I always latched on to someone else's grandparents because we had none of our own.

I was really pleased one time when Great Grandpa Dunn told me that I reminded him of himself.

I feel being a grandparent is one of the greatest joys of being a mother. I was very blessed to have know my grandparents, some more than others. I think being able to give praise is very important and helping our grandchildren feel very important as a person. It is sad that sometimes it is easier with our grandchildren than with our own children.

Larry!!!

What did you do to raise your children? You do the same as a grandfather! You hold those babies dear like you did your own, and you show them the way, in YOUR way! :-)
I LOVE YOU!

GRANDMA!

Sharing a memory of your childhood is the best way to carry on your parents to your children and your grandchildren, and now great grandchildren! Little stories tell a lot!

Being a grandparent is a wonderful thing! I love being a grandparent. I love showering affection on my grandkids and am finding it much easier to allow them to be themselves than I did as a parent. I love them; I love them; and I love them. Then they go home to their parents who will teach and discipline them.

I was very blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Dunn. They were really special grandparents. Being a grandmother is very special. I love my grandchildren. I wish I were closer to all of them than I am. I feel that some of the great people are in our family. If I could give each of you a gift, it would be to help you know your potential. We are all children of a great Father in Heaven and can become like him. Love you all Grandma Gatha
